Earlier today, I had two wrong-number calls. They were both for the same person, who's first initial is the same as both SoundEffect's and mine IRL, and who's last name is the same as ours. Suffice to say in a public post, it's not a very common surname. The caller who divulged the surname also - probably in the hope that I knew them - divulged ( Read more... )

The proper phrasing of a request for help is "Excuse me, please, could you help me with/to find X?" It is not "HEL-OOOOOO!!!" Neither is this the proper response to give to someone answering their telephone. I got a phone call today that went like this ( Read more... )
